Buckingham Palace gave a new update on Prince Philip's health and said The Duke is receiving medical attention for an infection.

He is comfortable and responding to treatment but is not expected to leave King Edward VII’s Hospital for several days.

The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to the hospital on last Tuesday when the Palace said that The Duke’s admission was s a precautionary measure, on the advice of his Doctor, after feeling unwell. Today, for the first time, Palace admitted that the Prince Philip is being treated for an infection.

Sky News reporter Rhiannon Mill made an amazing initiative and talked to Prince Philip's youngest son Edward, The Earl of Wessex about The Duke's health. Hearing formally from his son has definitely eliminated many rumors and thoughts that were making rounds since the hospitalization.

Speaking to Sky News, the Earl of Wessex, Prince Philip's youngest son, said he had talked to his father on the phone. The Earl Said, "As far as I am aware, well I did speak to them the other day, so he's a lot better thank you very much indeed, and he's looking forward to getting out, which is the most positive thing."

"So we are keeping our fingers crossed".

Edward thanked the public for the lovely messages they have sent since the news of Duke's hospitalization broke.
