Belgian King and Queen Continued their Country-wide Hopital tour

Belgian King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the Marie Curie Hospital in Lodelinsart. Marie Curie is a public hospital managed by the Inter-Municipal Health Department of Charleroi. They attend a working meeting on the operation of the hospital in the fight against the coronavirus and the progress on vaccinations.

They also met with the staff of the different departments of the hospital. The visit was part of the Royal couple’s countrywide hospital visit plan in which they are visiting various hospitals to see how the fight against COVID-19 is going in the country.

The Hospital staff talked about their experience during the pandemic and how it has affect their work. They discuss the functioning of the hospital during this crisis and explanation of the progress regarding vaccinations.

Telesambre reported that The King and Queen were able to meet with some of the patients. One patient said, “I came here for a visit to the physiotherapist and I am surprised to see Queen Mathilde. This is the first time that I have met our sovereign and we were able to exchange a few words. It really touched me”. The couple was presented with a nursing gown signed by the staff.

During the visit, Queen Mathilde was wearing Dries Van Noten Faux Wrap Cotton Dress with an orange toned coat. On Wednesday the King and Queen visited the Pharma Haelvoet pharmacy in Evere (Brussels-Capital Region).

On Wednesday the King and Queen visited the Pharma Haelvoet pharmacy in Evere (Brussels-Capital Region). They get to know the pharmacy staff and took part in a working meeting with pharmacists from the different regions. During this conversation, the crucial role of pharmacists during the corona crisis were discussed.
