The Duchess of Cambridge's first look in Scotland

There is a hit and there is a miss when it comes to wardrobe. If Duchess Kate hit the mark earlier today, for the second outfit of the day she missed it.

For her first appearance in Scotland, Kate wore a blue Zara blazer with Hope Contrast Hem Pleated Skirt in cobalt blue, Métier London Roma Bag, Jimmy Choo Romy 85 Suede Pumps and Amia Kids The Duchess blue Phoebe adult face mask. The Duchess teamed up the outfit with Hamilton & Inches Flora Drop Earrings and Spells of Love Double Strand Beaded Satellite Chain Necklace.

The verdict is the outfit could have been chic and playful if the blazer was not there to make it overwhelmingly busy and blue.

The Duchess of Cambridge on Monday May 24, 2021

This will be a very busy Royal week with lots of style inspirations. Beginning it with the first look of the day from the Duchess of Cambridge.

Kate brought back her white Alexander Mcqueen peplum coat dress from the 2017 Poland tour ( shown on right) for a video message to thank the nurses around the globe.

Duchess Kate paired the outfit with her Asprey London Daisy necklace and Mappin and Webb Empress earrings. Both pieces are still available online.

Verdict is the outfit was appropriately gorgeous in 2017 and looked equally stunning in 2021. Read about the whole look at RegalFille.
