The Royal Tuesday – May 04: Queen Maxima, The Duchess of Cornwall, Crown Princess Victoria, Crown Princess Mette-Marit

 
The Royal Tuesday saw Four Royal Ladies out and about undertaking engagements. Queen Maxima of Netherlands, wearing a black Massimo Dutti dress with a black cape and black headpiece, joined King Willem-Alexander for the National Remembrance Ceremony at Dam Square in Amsterdam.

The annual event commemorates the memory of Dutch people who gave their lives in wars or peacekeeping operations since the Second World War. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima laid a wreath. 
 

 

 

 
The Duchess of Cornwall, an avid reader, interviewed novelist Edna O’Brien this week. Her reading room page on Instagram ‘The Reading Room’ shared a picture of both ladies talking. The page had been sharing snippets of the questions Camilla asked Edna on the page during the week.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended a digital meeting on Agenda 2030 with Sigrún Rawit and Janine Alm Eriksson, Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The Future Queen of Sweden heard about the implementation of Agenda 2030 as well as the situation in Sweden and about Sweden’s role in global work.

The Crown Princess of Norway, Mette-Marit, visited the Aurora Verksted in Bærum. Aurora Verksted in Bærum is a working community of artists with and without disabilities. Today, Crown Princess Mette-Marit came to visit. Ceramics, textiles, clothing and paper have been produced on the premises at Haslum, despite a pandemic and strict infection control measures.

 

 
 

 

 

 
Mette-Marit was given the tour of the workshop, introduced to the employees and briefed about the history of the workshop. About the visit, The Crown Princess said, “They do so many things that I am interested in. They have managed to stay open during almost the entire pandemic and offered a good and safe everyday life. It was incredibly nice to visit and hear about how they have managed during the pandemic.”
